Fundamentally, Aromatherapy has been used throughout the ages. The Egyptian priests known as the Kemites had made the connection between plant oils and human healing. Scents also opened the nasal and bronchial cavity of excess mucus and other bacterial rich environment so that the patient could recover faster. Anticeptics were used to heal deep puncture wounds, blisters. Certain emolients were also used on the skin to prevent scarring. I think we have to look to the ancients that had learned the healing properties of their world to aid us in finding our balance in today’s world.

The term Aromatherapy came into being in the modern world by a French chemist, René Maurice Gattefossé who accidentially discovered the outstanding healing property of lavendar oil for severe burns.

Here is a brief overiew of plants and their normal use:

Basil – relieves severe headaches, do not use during pregnancy.

Bergamot – aids the urinary tract and digestion, when taken topically can aid in relieving cold sores and chicken pox, also a natural insect repellant.

Black Pepper – stimulates the circulation.

Lemongrass – perfume and insect repellant

Eucalyptus – natural and very strong anticeptic, use with care can be toxic.

Sage – helps digest fats in diet, removes waste from intestines, and when used topically darkens white hair.

Clove – used as an analgesic for pain relief.

Lavendar oil – topical antiseptic use, aids in severe burns, has a calming effect on the nerves when inhaled

Yarrow root – reduces joint pain, and other inflammations including the common cold.

Jasmine – known as an aphrodisiac

Remember, much of our modern medicine comes concentrating the already potent nature of plants, roots, herbs and many things found in nature, which can cause deadly side effects very often if directions are not followed carefully.

There are of course precaustions to follow in Aromatherapy, however, there are factors that make it very enjoyable, easy to obtain, and the satisfaction of quick and natural relief available. You may already know of some home remedies that worked and are passed down from family history. If it worked then, it should still work now.

Modern medicine does have it place for severe complications and illness, however, you can do something to aid healing from diseases and discomforts. Unfortunately, modern medicine does not see eye-to-eye with Aromatherapy, yet our forefathers did leave a record of plants and their uses to help with rashes. soothing nerves as well as aiding our bodies natural defenses to combat illness.

Now that being said, essential oils have to be used with care. Toxic reactions such as rashes, liver damage, and/or seizures can result depending on family history. Therefore every batch of essential oil must be mixed with one of the listed carrier oils to prevent this from happening. Carrier oils such as sweet almond oil, jojoba oil, olive oil, and hazelnut oil.

Yeast Infection is something which has happened to every body at one point of their life. One must guard oneself from any unhygienic lifestyle To avoid yeast infection because this very natural and there is nothing to be self conscious about it.

The species which causes yeast infections are frequently part of the human body’s normal oral and intestinal flora. Treatment with antibiotics can lead to eliminating the yeast’s natural competitors for resources, and increase the severity of the condition.

In clinical settings, candidiasis or yeast infection is commonly treated with antimycotics—the antifungal drugs commonly used to treat candidiasis are topical clotrimazole, topical nystatin, fluconazole, and topical ketoconazole. For example, a one-time dose of fluconazole has been reported as being 90% effective in treating a vaginal yeast infection. This dose is only effective for vaginal yeast infections, and other types of yeast infections may require different treatments.

In severe infections (generally in hospitalized patients), amphotericin B, caspofungin, or voriconazole may be used. Local treatment may include vaginal suppositories or medicated douches are also used in the advanced stage of the infection. Gentian violet can be used for breastfeeding thrush, but when used in large quantities it can cause mouth and throat ulcerations in nursing babies, and has been linked to mouth cancer in humans and to cancer in the digestive tract of other animals.

Treating candidiasis solely with medication may not give desired results, and other underlying conditions may be the cause. Oral candidiasis can be the sign of a more serious condition, such as HIV infection or other immunodeficiency diseases. Maintaining vulvovaginal health can help prevent vaginal candidiasis.

C. albicans can develop resistance to antimycotic drugs, such as fluconazole, one of the drugs that is often used to treat candidiasis. Recurring infections may be treatable with other anti-fungal drugs, but resistance to these alternative agents may also develop.

Find Natural Health Center(s) in the United States and Canada. At a natural health center, individuals can receive natural healing treatments and can also acquire knowledge about the various natural medicines available today. Whether you’re making your initial trip to a natural health center, or you’ve come back to learn more about innovative healthcare remedies, you are sure to be awed by some of the ancient and latest complementary medicines offered.

For instance, a natural health center is one that promotes preventive medicine and wellness through natural healthcare. Some of the many healing arts services and products that are provided at a natural health center include naturopathic medicine, acupuncture and Oriental medicine, herbal medicine
, essential oils and supplements, Bach Flower remedies, chiropractic, and massage therapy, among other related modalities.

A natural health center that offers chiropractic medicine will commonly help patients to learn about and understand the various aspects of the treatment. A normal visit to a chiropractic natural health center entails a brief summary about what chiropractic is; its philosophy, and case-taking of the patient’s health history. Most chiropractic doctors (D.C.) in a natural health center will educate the patient on assorted terms including “dis-ease,” and “subluxation.” In addition to taking an X-ray to assist DCs in locating subluxations of the spine, patients are frequently welcomed back to the natural health center for public education classes to learn more about chiropractic medicine. Sometimes, chiropractic natural health centers offer other services like massage therapy, and natural nutrition consultations.

A natural health center that strictly provides wellness services like massage therapy, aromatherapy and esthetics is appealing to day spa goers who want to look and feel younger and healthier. Massage therapy services at a natural health center and day spa are often combined with essential oils and aromatherapy, herbal wraps and facials. Individuals who frequent natural health centers like this will often find several natural healthcare and skincare products like herbal medicine, vitamins, supplements, lotions and oils.

In an Oriental medicine natural health center, patients will learn about the various techniques and philosophies of TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine), how acupuncture works, and may be counseled in Chinese herbal medicine nutrition. In some cases, a Doctor of Oriental Medicine may treat patients with moxibustion, cupping, Tai Chi, Tuina (Chinese medical massage), and Qi gong; among other associated methods.

Iridologists and herbalists often work closely together in a natural health center where they provide a health analysis through the study of the eye, Ph balance, and kinesiology. Clients quickly learn how certain indicators and markers on the iris may sometimes indicate health disorders and conditions. Herbal and supplemental prescriptions are often advised for therapeutic relief.

While there is a wide assortment of holistic healing and wellness clinics throughout the United States and in Canada, one can be certain that a trip to the natural health center will be both noninvasive and educational. In most cases, patients and clients who have visited a natural health center find a sense of overall wellbeing and better understanding to these sometimes misunderstood fields of integrative medicine.

If you (or someone you know) are interested in finding natural health center(s) and natural healing schools, let professional training within fast-growing industries like massage therapy, cosmetology, acupuncture, oriental medicine, Reiki, and others get you started!
